For Such a Time as This

We are a group of theological and religious educators who are seriously concerned about the intertwined democratic crises in the USA. We are equally frustrated by the lack of response/reflection/ action from our respective fields.

We wish to address this concern by coming together with other intellectuals to reflect on the current political situation. We wish to inquire about what theology and religious thought might offer (as protest, comfort, analysis, etc.) to help us make sense of this moment. We believe that one step towards a vision for the future of theological education is to create communities of thought that can speak faithfully to current circumstances while envisioning a fully democratic future.
